Eithne Clach

The Basics

Full Name: Eithne Clach
Age: 292
Gender/Pronouns: Female. She/her

Ethnicity: Medium Lived. Half DaM, Hayll.
Birthplace: Dea al Mon
Current Location: Little Terreille
Profession: Travelling Seer

Caste: Black Widow
Birthright Jewel: Green (CUT 1)
Offering Jewel: Red (CUT 54)

Face Claim: Hilda Dias Pimental

The Body

Height: 6'
Body Type: Slender
Hair Color: Dark Brown
Eye Color: Golden

Appearance:
Long, lean, and dark, Eithne resembles her Hayllian father far more than she ever would her Dea al Mon mother. Her hair is long, dark and wavy, it tends to tangle easily when she doesn't take care of it properly. She doesn't always take care of it properly and as such, it is a tangled mess more often than not. Eithne's ears are the gently pointed of those who are half-blooded Dea al Mon, her eyebrows are strong and slash across her brow in straight lines. Her eyes are the golden brown one sees in those with a long-lived parent and her mouth is full and lush, the quintessential cupid's bow shape. Cheekbones are high and striking, her chin is round with a strong jaw.

The Mind

Craft Strengths: 13/15pts
Tangled Webs
Illusion Webs
Poison Crafting
Craft Weaknesses: Anything hearth-like, utility craft, sight shields

Personality:
Webs speaking of terrible acts, war, and murder, Eithne has seen enough in her webs to create a woman who is something of a cynic. She doesn't trust easily and she doesn't love easily. Most of the time getting close enough to her to call her a friend is a feat in itself. Eithne doesn't have many friends and she doesn't mind for it to stay that way. The fewer people around her she cares for, the fewer people who can be harmed. War created a woman skilled in the arts of death, from poisons to a dagger in the heart, Eithne is good at killing just as she is good at spinning a web. She has no issue sticking a knife between someone's ribs if she has to.

The Backstory

Family:
  • Name | Father | Broken Opal to Broken Sapphire Warlord Prince
  • Name | Mother | Yellow Descent Black Widow (Deceased)
  • Name | Grandmother | Purple Dusk to Green Black Widow
  • Name | Brother | Summer-sky to Opal Caste
  • Name | Sister | Yellow to Summer-sky Caste
  • Name | Brother | Rose to Purple Dusk Caste
  • Name | Sister | Rose to Purple Dusk Caste
  • Name | Sister | Rose to Opal Caste
  • Name | Brother | Purple to Green Caste

History:

Birth-Offering:
Born to an unlikely pair, Eithne joined a sister and a brother. More siblings would join them in short order. Her parents were proud of their children, and it didn't matter that they may not see the end together, there was love there. Her father a Hayllian from Little Terrielle and her mother a woman of the Dea al Mon, different as night and day but they loved each other. She and her siblings grew up wild on the borders of Dea al Mon and Little Terrielle, swinging from the branches of trees and running the vast forests of their homeland.

Shortly before her birthright, Eithne's father moved them to Little Terrielle to better his merchant endeavors and be closer to his mother. Adjusting to the differences in places was something Eithne and her siblings had to work hard to overcome. Her birthright saw her leaving that place of ritual with a Green stone clutched in her tiny little hand. Moon's blood and a venom nail beneath her finger. Eithne's true training in the craft begins.

Back and forth they travel from Dea al Mon to their new home, establishing the trade for father's stores. Eithne's webs and ability grew with each passing of the border, father insisting his daughter cast webs to ensure their safety. Mother's passing was terrible and father nearly could not come back from the death of his little yellow Black Widow. Eithne's offering was clouded with that grief and what she saw in the darkness chilled her blood but she came away with her Red in a white-knuckle grip.

A Shield-The Fall of Witch:
Trade was suffering, the Dhemlan Witch making everything so much worse than it could have been. Eithne's webs spoke of things she did not want to understand and her father was called to Dea al Mon to assist the queen where she would need him. Merchant and trader, he might be but father was a dark jeweled warlord prince well versed in the arts of war. Eithne tried to help her brother with the trades and sells they were tasked with but she didn't have a head for it.

Murky webs speaking again of things she did not understand coming to pass and Eithne feared for her father. She went to the border to find him and her way was blocked. A shield, large and tasting of her father's jewels. Tasting of the death of such darkness and her webs made sense now. Eithne could not go home. The way was barred with a diamond-strong shield. She could not even pick away at it, her blows nothing more than pesky fly bites.

Witch fell while Eithne was trying to desperately to get home. Grandmother forced Eithne to stop trying to break a shield she could not harm and find something better to do with her life. Ever the pragmatic was her grandmother. Illusions gave her a jewel strength of nothing more than her green, weaker than she truly was. She could have been easy picking for unscrupulous people but too much Dea al Mon blood running through her veins made Eithne a natural born fighter. She never allowed herself to be taken advantage of.

Present:
Her webs speak of a shield that falls, freeing and exposing Dea al Mon to everyone's eyes. She has missed her homeland and every day she comes to the shield that keeps her out. Every day she just misses the glitch of that diamond-hard wall. The glitch that will let her in and bring her home. So she will continue to watch and to wait for it to fall. She will go home once more.
