| AN AU BJT SITE | 3-3-3 |

Once, we lived beneath the shadow of Witch. Her throne was Ebon Askavi and her ancestors were from Dhemlan. She subdued the Eyriens with the power of her Black Jewel, conquering the fiercest race in all of Terreille.

Her power and her treachery were felt throughout all the Realms. Spreading from Terreille into Kaeleer, and deeper, even, into the Dark Realm of Hell. Her eye was ever watchful. The center of any web spun. The new moon within the Twisted Kingdom.

There was no escaping her.

And so we rebelled.

We all had our reasons. No Territory had gone untouched by her. But none of us could have foreseen the repercussions of her death. As she died, she released her power in a spiral that destabilized the Winds through all the Realms.

Even now, a century later, only the Darker Winds have stabilized enough for routine use. The vast majority of the Blood still depending on Landen networks for travel. And that says nothing of the damage done to the peoples and their cultures.
