Rhiannon Fleetfoot

The Basics

Full Name: Rhiannon Fleetfoot
Age: 27
Gender/Pronouns: Female (She/Her)

Ethnicity: Cervini
Birthplace: DaM
Current Location: DaM
Profession: Herd healer

Caste: Healer
Birthright Jewel: Yellow (CUT 57)

Face Claim: Justine Biticon

The Body

Height: 5'9
Body Type: Stocky
Hair Color: Blonde
Eye Color: Dark brown

Appearance:
Bright beads and ribbons twist around and through braids in Rhiannon's hair, flowers making their home there too in the spring and summer. Her hair is carefully arranged to her liking around the four twisting points of her antlers. Around them too, Rhiannon weaves bright baubles that catch the light, breaking it into rainbows. So too Rhi wears her jewels, Yellow at her throat and Summer Sky at her bosom.

The Mind

Craft Strengths:

Witchlight
Binding Spells
Aural Shields
Calming Spells
Craft Brews
Craft Healing
Healing Webs
Craft Weaknesses: Telekinetic Surgery, combat craft, hearth craft

Personal Strengths: N/A
Personal Weaknesses: N/A

Personality:
Sunshine condensed into mortal form is the most accurate assessment of Rhi. If her voice is raised it's in excitement, in frustration often with those around her that are more willing to fight than talk but never in anger. Anger causes more problems than solutions, mountains out of things that shouldn't be mountains. Such serious matters are left for more settled heads, Rhiannon knows healing and caring for others. Let more settled heads handle the cares of the world, she would be there to stitch them back up in the end. Building people up with kind words and laughter is much easier than trying to stop the big hurts that she can't control.

Not that Rhiannon seeks control over anything. Not the world around her, or the strange relationship she's found herself in. Why bother fighting for control when coexistence is safer, calmer and much more suited to Rhiannon's pace in life. Too many siblings and cousins have taught Rhi the value of rolling with the punches, of maintaining her kindness even in the face of savagery. The world hurts and she can't do anything about that but she can offer a softer place to turn.

The Backstory

Family:
Too many to mention

History:

A witch born to a witch.

An unremarkable child but a happy child. No caste at her birthright, just a child-made crown of flowers and bare feet to chase wisps and whispers of something like sunshine. A jewel so bright and light that it feels like a breath of fresh air every time Rhiannon closes her hands around it. And she does often, sneaking away to perch in trees with budding antlers and whistle up little dancing lights with her Yellow. Whistling up those lights turn to dancing, spinning on light feet while she learns to heal.

Healing hearts, healing bodies, learning which plants helped which pains. Gifts taken from the hollows of trees with fervent thanks, bits of spider silk for healing with promises to the spiders even though everyone assures her they can't understand her.

Rhiannon's antlers grow as fast as she does, bright flowers twisting around them, ribbons and strings of beads too. Rhi is no queen but she attracts small animals all the same. Her healing isn't reserved for the cervini alone after all. Venturing near the antler-less blood, Rhi offers her aid there too. Tiny bursts of healing, whistling as she works and settling too when they offer marks and baubles for her work. It is a comfortable life that Rhiannon follows. Helping with healings keep Rhi busy, a chance to hone her skills and avoid her bickering family members.

A chance that grows with her offering and virgin night, dizzying heights climbed to find her Summer Sky, a challenge in the descent but whole and alive to face the man that chased her. Fleet footed and wild through the forests before she's finally caught along the river. Rushing water to wash away the flight and ride of the previous night before she returns to her herd a child no longer.

It's in the aftermath that Rhi catches wind of Bannick. A warlord prince and a rarity among her people. A chance for her slip away from her family that Rhiannon took, happily trailing the man only realizing later that she'd traded one crowded family for another. Though they're hardly as fussy as her own family, they're still a challenge for her to wrap her head around. Years spent twisting herself in knots to befriend or avoid the snappier of his wives. Endless compromises in an endless attempt to keep the peace.
